1. Supreme Court Considers 24×7 Judicial Access for Life and Liberty Cases

Why in News?

The Supreme Court agreed to consider framing a Standard Operating Procedure to provide citizens access to constitutional courts during nights, weekends and holidays in urgent cases involving illegal detention, demolition of homes, deportation, custodial violence and other threats to life and personal liberty.

2. India Summons Iranian Envoy After Missile Attack Kills Indian Sailor

Why in News?

India lodged a strong protest with Iran after Iranian cruise missiles reportedly struck two UAE-flagged energy tankers carrying Indian seafarers near the Strait of Hormuz. One Indian sailor was killed and several others were injured.

5. India’s Imports from China Rise to Nearly $80 Billion

Why in News?

Why in News?
